We had such a fun time driving through Kansas to go to our internship in Minnesota. Sometimes when we're having so much fun we forget to take pictures! But here's the highlights of hangin' with the fam.

While we were out to dinner, our waiter brought us our water and SURPRISE!...the waiter was Aaron's brother Matt! We had no clue he was coming out to Kansas while we were there. He talked to the restaurant manager and even got a uniform so he looked official! So funny. Surprising, but yet, if you know the Fischers, no surprise at all.

All of the Fischer cousins. Bentley especially had so much fun hanging out with his cousins again! That was the hardest thing about leaving Kansas...taking Bentley from his best friends Matthew and Evan.

I just LOVE the progression of pictures taken Easter morning. I posted them in order taken.

Aaron's parents came over to do an egg hunt with the kids. Bentley fell asleep early so Brinley had so much attention that she didn't even know what to do with herself!

The bunny outfit is one that I had as a toddler. I am on the t.v. in the background at Brinley's age wearing it!

Races

BYU's Splash n' Dash. This race was a 1 mile swim and 10k run. I did the race with some of the girls I work out with in the morning (and whom I still miss because they have now moved away to get jobs elsewhere. Tear.).

This was my first triathlon. 5k run, 10 mile bike, 350m swim. Very fun. My brother Tyler did it with me. We ran together and then he ditched me when I almost ran into him with my bike because a car swerved into me. True story.

We have loved the MBA program at BYU. We've met so many great friends. They have a WONDERFUL spouse association. We have so many fun activities for ourselves and our kids. It's made not seeing our husbands much a lot easier. So many fabulous friends!

Broken leg

Bentley broke his leg when he was jumping on the trampoline with his cousins. He didn't fall off. No one landed on him. Just one of those freak things. We'll let him jump again, but we'll probably have rules about the number of people he's with and those in similar size to him. We had MANY trials along the way with this, but Bentley was such a good sport about it all!

Grandma gave him some gifts right when he broke it. Here he used a stamp all over his "good" leg!

We pulled him around in this wagon my friend let me borrow.

Bentley got to the point where he could almost move around just as fast with his cast on. I only remembered to record him running when we were at the doctor's office, about to get it off!

Brin got a cute rocker that Grandma Wilson found at a garage sale. We painted it and got some dolls for her. All of the plastic sheeting is due to potty training Bentley. I think we're finally there! It only took about 6 months! Hopefully Brinley will be easier!

We celebrated my mom's and Bentley's birthdays together. But Bentley got to choose the cake. He loves blue cars.

Aaron was going to be at a conference for his actual birthday, so he made a paper with a list of Bentley's favorite things to do on it and we did as many as we could in a day... Here the boys are go carting.

Summer 2010 Fun

This summer my family had a reunion down in Kanab, UT. We had fun exploring.

There was a really fun pool. The guys had a fun time playing a throwing soccer game they made up.

All the girls had fun playing with Brinley's hair.

This summer our family went to Bryce Canyon and Cedar Breaks. It was so beautiful! And we had such a fun time.

Aaron and Bentley went up to Idaho to visit Aaron's older brother David. Bentley loves Uncle David and had so much fun. They even caught a fish from a creek on David's property.

Tyler came out to help us move from Kansas to Utah. We went to a restaurant pavilion in K.C. where the World Cup was being broadcast on a large outdoor screen.

Aaron threw Tyler a fun bachelor party because Tyler got married soon after we got to Utah. They did all things "manly".

I LOVE my new haircut. I love having my hair off my neck. I love that my baby doesn't grab hand fulls of hair. I love that it takes about 5-10 minutes instead of 30-40 to do. Happiness:)

We celebrated Father's Day, but I wanted to do a special Father's tribute to Aaron. Thanks for being the best dad to our children. They love you. I love you. Goodbye home

We did it. We are the lucky few that were able to sell our home in this market...and even luckier because we did it For Sale By Owner. We sold it a month ago and have been living in some apartments close by. We were so excited that our home sold that we don't even mind living in a temporarily inconvenient situation. But we also miss our beautiful home. Here's our tribute to it. And here we are saying bye to our home.

This is the beautiful deck Aaron built. We LOVED it. I think that's what we miss the most! We went outside all the time because of it. I'm sure we'll build another one in our next permanent home.

There was a kid's race that our friends told us about and Bentley ran in it. I was so proud of him! He ran in a 1/4 mile race and he ran the whole time! Aaron ran right beside him incase he needed any help, but he didn't need any! There were some ladies running behind him that told him he was doing good and with a straight, very serious face he said, "Yeah. I'm running SO fast."

Ok, you all see my sideways pictures. My vertical pictures used to post normal. Then one day magically...not normal and sideways! Does anyone know how to fix this? We have a MAC and we load our pictures onto the computer via Image Capture. In Image Capture there is NOT an option to rotate your picture. I even tried looking this problem up online and no help. So please HELP ME!

Boston

This was my first Mother's Day with Brinley. What a cute, sweet girl. My only sadness was that we left Bentley home with Grandma and Grandpa Fischer while we went on a trip to Boston. I mostly missed him on Mother's Day.

Our first night in Boston Aaron surprised me and took me to a Bed and Breakfast in Marblehead for our anniversary. It was our big number 5! It was such a fun, beautiful place.

This was the ocean view around Marblehead. We just wished we had more time to spend there, but we had to head back to the city.

We went to a Lilac park with Angela. It was really pretty and smelled even better.

We thought it was so funny to walk through Boston Common and see a banjo group playing music and dancing with a cow. They were promoting people to drink raw milk.

This is a tribute to my mom who [used to] buy and drink raw milk.

This is a cemetery where famous people are buried. Aaron's sister was our tour guide and her famous saying to most places was, "This is very old and famous"...so yeah, we didn't get very many details of the places we went to, but it was still fun.

We went on a fun boat ride with Angela.

This was the first church in Boston. Every family had their own assigned, closed-in pew. Where is such a thing now-a-days? It would be much easier to keep the kids contained!

We went to a Red Sox game with Aaron's sister Angela and her friend Bryan. Brinley got a lot of attention at the game. I think people were surprised we brought such a little baby out on a cold, late night. Ehh, she survived.

After the game we went to a French restaurant where we ate good cheese and excellent desserts.

This is one of the desserts we got. It came with its own chocolate leaning tower!

Before we left, we were able to visit the Boston Temple. It was so awesome to see such a difference between a busy, loud city and then go inside such a peaceful, clean, quiet place. A good end to a fun trip.

Water!

Bentley LOVES water! He loves playing in the bath tub, he helps me "wash" dishes, swimming pools, sprinklers, you name it. We went to an outdoor mall here where there's a huge fountain in the middle. It's been a hot summer here and there were a lot of kids playing in the fountain. He kept creeping closer and closer, but then would come back to us. Then when we gave him approval, he went to town and had a blast playing in the fountain also! Here he is happy and soaking wet!

Diana Rose Farmstead

We went to this place with some friends that's basically a giant petting zoo/farmstead. Here's the boys on a tractor.

Bentley loved hitting these cow bells. I have video of this too and a little girl next to them is covering her ears!

This isn't a real cow, but it gave the kids an idea what it's like. Water did come out though.

It was cute watching Bentley feed the goats. He was very concentrated.

Omaha Zoo

We went with our friends, the Sims, and Jon and Miriam and their family to the zoo. In the morning all the other adults went to the temple while Aaron and I stayed at the hotel with all the kids. This part was fun but a little crazy.

There's a butterfly room at the zoo where the butterflies fly all around you. Unfortunately this is the best picture we took.

We were so excited to welcome Brinley into our family. She is such a doll. And although labor is hard, I felt it went better the second time. I feel the Lord really blessed me, especially since we were blessed with a healthy, beautiful girl. Here we are RIGHT after she was born.

Here's the worst of it. 3 1/2 months and $500 later. It was a crazy bet, but probably worth it in the long run.

Aaron shaved and cut his hair in the same day. We should have weighed him because he probably lost a few lbs. of hair! Now I have my cute husband back again! Bentley kept asking that day, "Mustache go?", "Beard go?". Then he came to his own conclusion that, "Jon took it". Jon, I don't know why you took it, but have fun with the hair that won't be missed here!

I love this huge grin! Here's Bentley Christmas morning in front of the tree. He was excited that he could finally touch the presents.

We've gotten A LOT of snow this year. Kansas usually doesn't get this much. Here's Aaron and Bentley sledding. Bentley only lasts maybe 20 min. outside because he HATES the cold. They got a good hill going down our deck into the back yard. Because of snow drifts, there were some areas of are yard that were 3 ft. high and other areas where you could still see the grass!

Arkansas

We went to Arkansas for my cousin, Grace's wedding. We then stayed through Thanksgiving because my Aunt Mardie and all of her kids and their families live out in Arkansas. It was so fun to see all of them again. I'm so sad that I don't have any pictures besides my cousin Joe's family. I think sometimes I get so excited on vacation and in the moment that I forget to take pictures!

While we were in Memphis, we thought we should definitely go see Graceland. When we got there, parking was $10 and each ticket to get in was $35. (That was the minimal tour too!). Since we didn't plan on down payments for this event, we just took a picture in front of the sign and called it good.

There's a hotel called The Peabody Hotel in Little Rock that has a parade of ducks in the hotel. In the morning they march the ducks down the elevator and across a red carpet, into a fountain, where they stay the remainder of the day until they are marched back up into their dens for the evening. It was so fun and Bentley LOVED it!

We also went on a walk across the "Big Dam Bridge" with my cousin Sam. It was a HUGE bridge and so windy once we got on top.

This was Bentley's buddy, Ruby, during the trip. It's my cousin Joe's little girl. SO cute.

After Thanksgiving we went to a park with Joe's family and Sam. Yeah, I don't know why I didn't take picture at Thanksgiving.

I have a friend who designs houses. Her computer only prints out the design of the house in 2-D. So she usually has an artist draw an artistic rendition of the house by looking at the blueprints. I thought this would be easy, but was MUCH harder and took much longer than I thought it would be. But here's the pictures I drew. I was pretty proud of myself. Not sure if I'll be asked to do it again, but we'll see.

Halloween!

We love Halloween and like to be creative with our costumes. This year I was an oven (get it?...bun in the oven?), so Aaron was a chef and Bentley was a cookie because he's already baked!

Trick-or-treating. Bentley loved going door to door to get candy! He mostly enjoyed banging his metal candy bucket on the sidewalk as we went along.

After we came home he had such a fun time playing in my oven. He loves to say, "Where'd Bentley go?" So that then we'll ask that question. Then he pops his head out and says, "There he is!". So cute!

Then after we took his costume off, he decided to eat his cookie shirt.

Halloween Party

We hosted a Halloween dinner party. Everyone had to dress up and Aaron made the menu fun so no one knew what they were getting until it was in front of them.

We had unexpected entertainment for the night because my next-door-neighbor's car engine exploded in his driveway! Our cul-de-sac was full of fire trucks and police cars! I'm just glad it wasn't a house!

For the evening, I dressed up as a skeleton (baby decided to join the festivities as well)!

Carving Pumpkins

It's hard to see, but my pumpkin has a baby pumpkin attached to it and I drew arms holding it, so it looks pregnant. Aaron's is all hairy. And Bentley's says, "Rawrr!".

Pumpkin Farm

We had such a fun day at the pumpkin farm! Bentley was eating some candy, so I couldn't quite get his cute smile out since he was preoccupied!

There was a hay jump that his Aunt Miriam helped him go down. I wasn't really up for jumping.

He REALLY wanted to try going down the blow-up slide. I told him that if he could go up on his own, then he could do it. And he's an awesome climber! He had so much fun and wanted to do it over and over again! He just looks so small on such a big slide!

Sealing

These are some of our best friends out here, the Sims. Their whole family just got sealed together a few weeks ago in the temple. It was such an awesome experience to be there with them. I can't believe that we didn't think to take pictures until after Mike and Carrie had changed out of their white clothes! It was a busy day though.

Bentley really loves dinosaurs and anything that says "rawrrr". So he wanted a dinosaur cake and he wanted it blue. He talked about it every day for about a week before his birthday. He had such a fun day.

We went to Chuck E. Cheese for his birthday. He loves it there and honestly we like it too.

Our sweet boy turned 2! I can't believe it! He is so cute and fun. He loved blowing out his candles, so we lit them several times. And Bentley tried saying "Happy Birthday", but it just came out "Happy Day". So cute and you can see it here. Yee Haw!!

We borrowed a rider and aerator from some friends about 2 miles up the road to aerate our yard. Bentley thought the "tractor" was pretty cool.

Ok...this is where I explain my husbands ridiculous face. So his boss at work showed him a picture on day of some inventor from the 1800's that had this facial hair. He told Aaron that if he would grow it then he would buy lunch for him for a week at their work's cafeteria. Aaron said, "NO way!". Then without him knowing, his boss went around and got commitment from lots of people to be willing to buy lunch for x amount of days. Then he brought the list to Aaron and he had 3 months worth of lunches bought if he would wear these chops for that long. Before I go on, let me just say that Payless' cafeteria's food is REALLY good. And they do sell dinner meals as well. So Aaron came home and asked what I thought. I said, "Absolutely! You'll look silly, but I won't have to cook for 3 months!". So the next 3 months, here we come.

I think Aaron driving the lawn mower down the street and his chops officially make us white trash. I thought it was so funny and had to take a picture of him driving off into the sunset.

Apple Orchard

We went to the apple orchard and had a blast! Bentley LOVED eating all the apples his heart desired. When I thought I was done filling my bucket, I saw the top 5 apples each had a big bite in them!

Travis and Lindsay and Leoni are now living in Qatar for 3 yrs teaching English. It was fun to meet Leoni. She's a cute girl. Luckily they are able to come back home every summer for a few months.

Aaron used to own a business, Fense Defense, with his brother Matt. Matt still owns and somehow still runs the business from DC. This summer Matt built a deck float and participated in every parade possible. It was really awesome and we were able to be in one parade with them while in Utah.

After the parade, Grandpa tried to take a little rest while Bentley would hear non of that and tackled him!

Roomates

We went to Utah this summer for a trip to see everyone. While there, we always have to get together with my old roomates. Chantelle has since had a cute baby boy, whom I am excited to meet. I'm just sad that we didn't think about taking out our cameras until Suz had already left. So sorry Suz!

Angela in town!

Aaron's sister Angela drove through with their dad on her way to grad school in Boston. Ron drove her until Kansas and then had a nice, long vacation here with the grandkids! Angela's friend John flew out and drove her the rest of the way. Here we are all together.

When Aaron and Angela get together, they always have to take silly/scary pictures together. We could show you quite the collection of said pictures from our New York trip when they were alone together in a subway car.

This is the boy that flew out to help Angela drive the rest of the way to Boston. We will now refer to him as the lame boy that has since disappeared off the face of the earth.

Blogging re-birth...Summer fun #1

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't updated our blog in almost 4 months! I have several excuses for this: 1. I can NOT be on the computer when my toddler is awake. Otherwise I am battling him pushing the off button on the computer (or breaking the printer like he did yesterday). 2. We steal the internet from Aaron's brother Jon. They rearranged their family room and now their computer is across the room and our signal is weak and so I have to sit in our bathroom on the edge of the toilet to get connection. If it's a good day I can sit on my bed. Lame that we don't have our own internet, we know. But it's almost too late to get it at this point. Yes, I am currently on the toilet now, but no, not flagging the computer. 3. With a busy summer it hasn't been a priority. 4. We don't think to empty our camera very often, which = no new pictures on blog.
So there ya go. So this is summer fun #1. I didn't want to put ALL of our pictures on here at once, so I'm doing it in batches. So I'll probably get the rest up in a week or so. So sit on the edge of your seats checking the computer each day to see when that time will come!
